Both training and assessment are two day courses, which are discipline specific. The aim of this award to train and then show that a paddler is now a competent leader. 

A successful performance at this level shows that the paddler has the skill level required to lead a group competent paddlers in appropriate locations, up to moderate conditions.

This award is designed for the paddler to show their techniques for moving and exposed water, requiring them to use this skills in a real situation.

This course is aimed at applying the above skills in a leadership context looking at correct ways to lead a group on moving water utilizing correct leading styles and communication and rescue skills.
